Innovative Pharmaceutical Research Facilitated by AI

AI is revolutionizing the current paradigm of pharmaceutical research, addressing the challenges encountered at all stages of the process. AI driven drug discovery is based on biomedical big data and new algorithms to identify drug targets, screen and optimize active compounds, analyze drug properties, and facilitate drug production and quality control. On this basis, we are organize this special issue entitled "Innovative Pharmaceutical Research Driven by AI", to collect Research articles, Review papers, and Short communications, facilitating pharmaceutical research.

The topics include but are not limited to the following:

(1) Usage of machine learning and deep learning technologies to build new frameworks, models and tools for pharmaceutical research.
(2) Application of big data, multi-omics analysis and AI-based technologies to identify new drug targets.

(3) Screening and generating hit compounds, optimizing lead compounds, and repositioning drugs through AI technologies.

(4) Application of AI-based technologies to predict drug efficacy, toxicity and other properties.

(5) Discovering new drug combinations and optimizing clinical dosing regimens based on multi-omics analysis and AI technologies.

(6) Application of AI-based technologies in the production and quality control of drugs.
